Folic acid protective against autistic traits in babies
« on: March 01, 2018, 10:12:59 AM »

If pregnant women take antiepileptic drugs, the child can develop autistic traits. The administration of folic acid preparations appears to be a suitable means of preventing this serious side-effect, suggest researchers.

Make it Folate though

Folic acid is not always the preferred form. Look into Mthfr gene defect and how many are affected

Folic acid can cause more harm than good

I?m homozygous for the bad copy of mthfr, as are about 20% of the population.

Everyone should get tested. I wrote about it here. http://www.gh15.org/forum/index.php?topic=44491.0

agree, the process by which folic acid turns into methylfolate is so ineffective, it's crap ton of work for the body

best way to get your folate is from leafy greens, liver, as supplement look for it under names methyl folate, methyl-THF, 5-MTHF or 5-methyltetrahydrofolate

good study to look at

bottom line is - folic acid supplementation = bad
greens, liver, folate supplementation = fucking great
